- Rajan Wadhawan, MD, MMM is the Senior Executive Officer for AdventHealth for Children and AdventHealth for Women. He holds a faculty appointment as an Associate Professor at the University of Central Florida, Department of Pediatrics. Dr. Wadhawan completed his training in pediatrics and neonatology at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. Dr. Wadhawan obtained a master’s degree in Medical Management from Carnegie Mellon University in 2011. He is also board certified in Pediatrics, Neonatal Perinatal Medicine and Medical Management by the Certifying Commission for Medical Management as a Certified Physician Executive (CPE). Dr. Wadhawan previously served as Chief Medical Officer and Medical Director of Neonatology at AdventHealth for Children. During his tenure as Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Wadhawan oversaw the accomplishment of several landmarks regarding quality and safety of care including recognition as a LeapFrog Top Children’s Hospital and US News recognition as a top Neonatology program in the country. Dr. Wadhawan is also responsible for physician strategy related to growth and expansion of clinical service lines for AdventHealth for Children. His research focuses on factors that impact neurodevelopmental outcomes in extremely premature infants.
