  • Wassim Mchayleh, MD, MBA, FACP serves as the Medical Director of Breast Oncology at AdventHealth Cancer Institute, He is a top rated, board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist and serves as an Associate Professor of medicine at the University of Central Florida. Dr. Mchayleh is a breast cancer specialist, with strong interest in Triple negative breast cancers and breast cancers in young women. He leads breast cancer research initiatives at AdventHealth and is involved in multiple global and national clinical trials. His research is focused on the development of new therapies in breast cancer, mainly SERDs and ADC’s. He is also a pioneer in advancing the use of CtDNA testing in breast cancer patients to guide therapy and detect early recurrence. He has received multiple awards, including the ASCO merit award, and was honored with the Georgia Cancer Coalition Distinguished Cancer Clinician and Scientist Award in 2011. Dr. Mchayleh has contributed to multiple peer-reviewed journals in respected publications. He is fluent in English, French and Arabic. He has a patient-centered philosophy and is passionate about patient advocacy. He focuses on delivering personalized and high quality of care, always making sure to approach each patient as if they are family.
