Vidhyalakshmi V. Jaishankar, MD, is a fellowship-trained psychiatrist with double-board certifications in general psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry. She has spent more than 15 years as an on-staff psychiatrist in hospitals and community health centers, primarily in Ohio and Florida. Dr. Jaishankar treats patients of all ages with a variety of behavioral, emotional and learning issues, and specializes in depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, panic disorder, adjustment disorder, OCD, PTSD, ADHD, postpartum depression, somatization disorder and other psychiatric conditions/illnesses. She works with a multidisciplinary team to provide mental health services, treating patients with various behavioral, emotional and learning issues. She has broad experience in multiple clinical settings, including inpatient, outpatient, residential, school-based, community, forensic, emergency, and consultation-liaison services.
