Shravan Ambati, MD, is a board-certified electrophysiologist who also specializes in cardiovascular disease. Dr. Ambati earned his medical degree from UMDNJ New Jersey Medical School at Newark before his residency in internal medicine at Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, D.C. He went on to complete a cardiovascular disease fellowship at UMDNJ Cooper University Hospital at Camden, NJ, as well as an electrophysiology fellowship at Albert Einstein-Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY. Dr. Ambati is a member of the Heart Rhythm Society, the American College of Cardiology, the American Heart Association, the American Medical Association, and the American Board of Internal Medicine. He has many years of experience in clinical and invasive electrophysiology and is professionally trained in pacemaker and defibrillator implantations, ESI and CARTO electro-anatomic mapping systems, radiofrequency and cryo-catheter ablation, cardiac CTA and MRI, and echocardiography. He currently resides in Orlando, FL, where his interests include traveling, community basketball and soccer, and novel imaging applications in electrophysiology.
