Dr. Shivangi Jain received her Ph.D. in cognitive psychology from Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta. She did her postdoctoral training at Duke University Medical Center, and the University of Iowa specializing in cognitive neuroscience methodologies, and physical exercise and cognition research. Dr. Jain’s research utilizes cognitive tasks in conjunction with structural and functional magnetic resonance imaging, and blood-based biomarkers to examine the impact of age on cognition, and the role of potential moderators in elucidating heterogeneity in cognitive decline, and intervention benefits (cognitive and physical exercise training ) in aging. Her long-term research goal is to understand the distinct neural underpinnings of cognitive decline in aging and in Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) and use the findings to inform the development of effective intervention strategies to support cognition.
