- Monique Kumar, MD, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained pediatric dermatologist who joined AdventHealth Medical Group from the medical faculty at Emory University. An award-winning physician, she specializes in treating vascular lesions such as hemangiomas and port-wine birthmarks and as well as other skin conditions in newborns, children and adolescents. Dr. Kumar completed her medical degree, pediatric internship and dermatology residency all at the Washington University School of Medicine, where she served as Chief Resident and was honored with the James Henry Yale Prize in Dermatology. She also completed a highly specialized fellowship in pediatric dermatology and vascular lesions, which sets her apart from many in the field. Prior to medical school, Dr. Kumar earned a Master of Science degree in genetics at Cambridge University in the United Kingdom, where she was a Winston Churchill Scholar following her graduation with highest honors from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
