- Melisa Wilson, APRN, ACNP-BC, is a board-certified advanced practice registered nurse with more than 10 years of clinical experience. A native of Mt. Vernon, NY, she earned her undergraduate and advanced nursing degrees at the University of Florida and has worked in pulmonary and cardiology specialty practices since 2006. Melisa works closely with Dr. James Tarver to treat and educate patients with pulmonary hypertension, as well as cardiovascular patients in emergency, inpatient and outpatient settings. In 2015, Melisa was the recipient of the Pulmonary Hypertension Association's Periwinkle Pioneer Award, presented to practitioners responsible for advancing care for pulmonary hypertension patients and helping to change the history of the disease.
