Laurie Letarte, MD, FACC, is triple board certified in advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology, cardiovascular disease and internal medicine. She completed her undergraduate degree at Boston University and earned her medical degree at New York University School of Medicine in New York City. Thereafter, she completed her internal medicine internship at Emory University in Atlanta, followed by her internal medicine residency at New York – Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center. She then pursued her subspecialized training via elite, consecutive fellowships in cardiovascular disease and advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology at Georgetown University/Washington Hospital Center and Houston Methodist Hospital, respectively. She is fluent in English with working proficiency in Spanish.
