Kimberly Smith, MD is a board certified internal medicine physician and is a fellowship-trained rheumatologist with nearly two decades of experience providing rheumatology care and treatment. She has volunteered extensively in her community. Dr. Smith was the Principal Investigator in lupus clinical trials and the Sub-Investigator on multiple clinical trials in Rheumatology and Internal Medicine, including studies on rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, gout, and shingles. Dr. Smith is the recipient of the 2011 Compassionate Doctor Award based on reviews written by thousands of patients. In addition, Dr. Smith has co-authored several books addressing osteopenia and arthritis, including Reversing Osteopenia. She is married, has three children, two dogs, enjoys long distance running, and has completed several half-marathons and full marathon events.
