She then completed her Neurology residency at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center and finished her training with a fellowship at Duke University Medical Center where she focused exclusively on the treatment of headaches.
Her passion for treating headaches stems from having seen family members suffer through disabling migraines and the dramatic improvement in quality of life that can come from the right headache care.
Dr. Handy’s core approach to medicine consists of a sincere belief that all headache sufferers deserve to be heard and that the best patient outcomes result from strong partnerships between doctor and patient working together to find a course of treatment that meets the patient’s goals and improves quality of life.
