Dr. Jesse Wright is a fellowship-trained colorectal surgeon who graduated with honors from Washington and Lee University in Virginia and earned his medical degree at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville. He continued at Vanderbilt for his internship and general surgery residency. During his surgical training he also completed a robust year of clinical research and a served as Chief Resident of the acute and chronic wound service at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Nashville. He was thereafter selected for the elite MIS/colorectal surgery fellowship program at AdventHealth Orlando. In 2020, he also earned a coveted Smith International Surgical Scholarship to attend the International Colorectal Disease Symposium in Jerusalem. He has coauthored numerous works in the medical literature and is trained in advanced colorectal endoscopy and minimally invasive (laparoscopic and robotic) surgical techniques.
