  • Dr. Rosen is board certified in neurosurgery with additional fellowship training in neurosurgical oncology. An expert in tumors of the nervous system and minimally invasive spine surgery, he performs complex and minimally invasive surgery for the treatment of gliomas, glioblastomas, metastatic tumors, meningiomas, schwannomas, acoustic neuromas, pituitary tumors and skull base tumors. He also specializes in the treatment of cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine conditions. Using a combination of surgical and non-surgical methods of treating disc disease, stenosis, myelopathy, radiculopathy, instability, sciatica and back pain. Dr. Rosen completed his undergraduate degree at Indiana University, and then earned his Medical Degree at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, where he also completed his general surgery internship, neurosurgery residency and neurosurgery chief residency. He received fellowship training in neurosurgical oncology at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Center in Houston. Prior to joining Orlando Neurosurgery, he was a faculty member and attending neurosurgeon at the University of Chicago Medical Center. Dr. Rosen specializes in ways to improve the safety, efficacy and comfort of neurosurgical procedures. An active researcher, he has published more than 20 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters and presented research at more than 40 national and international conferences. His ardent work in the field of brain tumor and spine surgery innovation has earned a research award from the American Association of Neurological Surgeons in the process. Dr. Rosen is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, the AANS/CNS Joint Section on Tumors and the AANS/CNS Joint Section on Disorders of the Spine and Peripheral Nerves.
